Christmas Presents
Well, it is that time of year again. I have started my Christmas shopping. This year I started out without knowing what I was going to get a couple of the kids but ended up doing pretty darn good (if I do say so myself). I just really have no idea what to get Ren though. I get tired of doing tools because they just seem so impersonal. I would like to find something really cool but I just don't know what.
For dad this year I know exactly what I want to do. Mom gave me a picture several years ago and wanted me to fix it. I had scanned it in but when our computer crashed a few years ago I lost the scan and kind of forgot about it. This summer I decided I would get it rescanned and get it fixed, matte, and frame it for dad for Christmas. Well, today I started. I am posting the before picture so I can really see what progress I make as I go along. Hopefully, before long, I will be posting the finished product.
If you look really close, you can see where Grandma Carpenter's handwriting from the back is coming through the front. I haven't decided if I am going to cover this up or not. Maybe I will scan the back and actually put it on the front. I just had a brain storm. I think I might do that.
